Padre Island

A friend of mine organized a trip to Padre Island for New Years Eve to welcome in the true start of the 21st century on Jan 1st, 2001.  We went down there and had a great time, swimming in the surf on New Year's eve, but the photo opportunities were somewhat lacking due to the thunderstorms that came and went all weekend.  A more dedicated photographer would have wrapped up his gear and shot anyway, but I waited for breaks in the weather :)  Here are few shots that I liked.
